Song of Encouragement (2). This song is about AMAZEMENT. [To listen, click on »weiterlesen« or on the photo, then on the »mp3« file.] "How Great Thou Art" — a romantic song from Sweden (late 19th century). It invites us to marvel at creation: at the vastness of the universe, at the forces we experience on earth. The English version, for example, sings: "when I in awesome wonder consider all the worlds thy hands have made, I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder"... My mother used to sing "How Great Thou Art" as we did the dish washing. I found the melody beautiful, even as a teenager, without fully understanding the lyrics. The message of this »Song of Encouragement« is, when we marvel with  the creation, or even marvel reverently at God, it's not about understanding in the first place but about positive and feelings of gratefulness. Do something good for yourself, treat yourself to these good five minutes of listening. Concept & Speaker: Joachim Georg, Music, Piano & Arrangement: Christian Georg; Violin: Jihye Seo-Georg.
